1. General information
This subject focuses on the formal knowledge of thinking modalities and their different theoretical and methodological approaches . To facilitate the analysis and understanding of thinking, intelligence and creativity, this knowledge will be addressed in parallel at the theoretical and practical level, studying the types of thinking and creativity in three specific domains . The subject presents alignments with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Agenda 2030: 3. Health and Wellness; 4. Quality Education; 5. Gender equality; 10. Reduction of the inequalities; 16. Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions A critical and open attitude to the exploration and investigation of the use and function of thinking and reasoning will be recommended.
2. Learning results
Upon completion of the subject, the student will be more proficient in describing and explaining what thinking is, its types or modalities (e.g., deductive, inductive), and its main theoretical approaches. They should be able to value their contributions and limitations and also to know the laws and principles of psychological processes. The student, in order to pass this subject, must demonstrate the following results: describe and explain what intelligence is, its types, and the main theoretical approaches that account for them, as well as the creative process. Apply the problem solving techniques analysed in the psychology of thought, intelligence and creativity, in an efficient and autonomous manner.
They should address basic aspects of the psychology of thought from an observational and experimental approach, and be capable of a reflective, critical and understanding attitude towards reasoning and intelligence in others. The knowledge, abilities, skills and attitudes acquired and/or developed in the Psychology of Thought, Intelligence and Creativity subject are fundamental for the basic training of the student of the Psychology Degree.

Practice: 4-6 reports (mandatory) throughout the term, individually or in groups. Possibility of evaluation by complementary objective tests (10-15 multiple choice questions).
Global evaluation. Theory: final exam with 100 multiple choice questions. Inadequate items (with response rates lower than 15% or higher than 85%) will be reviewed and, if necessary, discounted in the computing the grade.
Non-face-to face format: Theory accounts for 70% of the final grade, practice for 30%. Theoretical examination: 100 multiple choice questions . Practical exam: four short questions for each practice performed during the term.
